Centennial Elementary School

All About Our School

Centennial Elementary School is one of three elementary schools in the McKeesport Area School District. Currently Centennial houses students in Kindergarten through Third Grade. We offer a variety of education programs that allow our students to successfully achieve the Pennsylvania State Standards. Centennial Elementary School's highest aspirations are reserved for the future of the children we serve.

TIGER S.U.C.C.E.S.S. the SCHOOL USING COLOR-CODES to ENSURE STUDENT SAFETY is an animated system using color-coded tigers to help elementary students, staff, and visitors navigate their way through our school. The tiger symbol helpsstudents with word and symbol integration, as well as learning colors, directions, and signs. The kid friendly cartoon images of tigers indicate direction, appropriate behavior and highlight keylocations. TIGER S.U.C.C.E.S.S. is a wonderful way to welcome all who enter the doors of our school. Each visitor is asked to report to the red floor and check in with the office before going anywhere in our building. To help our visitors they can simply look for the color coded tiger that helps them find the red floor. Most importantly, TIGER S.U.C.C.E.S.S. helps ourstudents take pride in their surroundings and their school.
