| The Community College of Allegheny County (CCAC) in partnership with the McKeesport Area Technical Center and High School is offering to McKeesport Juniors and Seniors the opportunity to earn college credit now. |
| Eligible students can enroll for courses through our "Gateway to College Program" for FREE through a grant made possible by the Department of Education. This grant covers the cost of tuition, textbooks, and fees. All Juniors and Seniors with a Q.P.A. of 2.5 and a teacher recommendation are eligible. |
| After successful completion of this course, you will be given credit for a high school elective in addition to earning three college credits awarded by CCAC. These credits can then be transferred to the college or technical school of your choice upon graduation. |
| We will be offering Introduction to Sociology this term. Introduction to Sociology is an introduction to the science of sociology, including a discussion of sociological theory and method, social structure, culture, and socialization. Also emphasized are social stratification, race, ethnicity, and gender. Social institutions and their changed dynamics will be examined. |
