There are three choir opportunities available at McKeesport Area High School. The choirs meet every day and the student will receive one full academic credit.
Concert Choir is open to any high school student in grades 9-12. No formal training is needed. the group performs numerous times throughout the year in November, December, March, and May.
A Cappella Choir is an auditioned group of students in grades 10-12 who are established singers. Much of their repertoire is sung without piano accompaniment. They perform in November, December, March, and May.
Mixed Ensemble is a select group of auditioned students in grades 11-12. they serve as good ambassadors for the school district and sing at numerous community events throughout the year as well as perform in all of the school concerts in November, December, March, and May.
The Mixed Ensemble performed at the Festival of Trees this year.
