School Closings

Closings/Delays

For information on school closings or delays due to inclement
weather and other emergencies, tune your radio to KDKA
Radio 1020, KQV Radio 1410, 3WS, WDSY, WAMO Radio 806,
or your television to KDKA, WTAE AND WPXI or visit their
websites by clicking on the link.

Early Dismissals

In the event the McKeesport Area School District requires an early dismissal due to inclement weather, the following schedule will be enacted:

Building	Dismissal Time
High School	12:00 p.m.
Founders' Hall	12:30 p.m.
Cornell	1:00 p.m.
McClure	1:00 p.m.
Centennial	1:30 p.m.
George Washington	1:30 p.m.
White Oak	1:30 p.m.

All district sponsored evening events and activities are cancelled. Students that need to make phone calls home may so so in their main office.

Lunches: Founders' Hall lunches will start at 11:00 a.m. and finish at 12:30 p.m. Cornell lunches will start at 10:00 a.m. High School and Elementary lunches will run as scheduled.

Alternative Education: Elementary students will be dismissed at 11:30 p.m. Secondary students will be called and advised not to report for pick-up.

Preschools: All preschools will be informed of an early dismissal.

Approved Private Schools: All approved private schools will be called by the Special Education Office.
