The Counselor helps in these ways:

with teachers, parents, administrators, and other professionals about
resource programs, individual problems and family problems. |

Listening
to students' suggestions and concerns about teachers, rules, curriculum,
etc...and helping to resolve conflicts. |

Referring
students and parents to community agencies such as family services,
psychological medical services, etc., when needed. |

Teaching
students about the consequences of their behavior which may include
helping them explore alternative behaviors and facilitating changes. |
